Available Alternatives
Some alternatives from using mothballs is to use; cedar, lavender, airtight containers and to clean up after your pets. Cedar chips/blocks and lavender are commonly used because moths tend to stay away from their scents. Using airtight containers keeps clothing protected from moths and it also provides more space in closets. Moths can also be drawn to animal crates. Leaving them unattended can result in moths laying eggs in the bedding and around the cage.
